Edition of a two record collection by the Concordia
Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri Cantata Chorus and Brass Ensemble
distributed by the ALPB in 1961, is now available on a single CD with
enhanced sound and separation. It also includes an updated edition of a
15 page booklet on Lutheran Hymnody with texts and music of all 18
hymns.

Theodore Wittrock, executive director of the ALPB in 1961 when the Best
in Lutheran Hymns was first produced, is seen here meeting with the
present director, Pastor Fred Schumacher and Jonathan Schultz,
of Jonathan Schultz Productions, who is overseeing the new edition of
the 196l recording.
